Our Men goes inside the warped mind of a military captain now insane priest as he preaches about the joys of being in the military such as invasion and occupation. Combine that with J’s humour and sarcasm, beautiful melody, catchy chorus, demonic voices, church choirs, lovely piano and some awesome rock guitar work culminating in a guitar solo that is a masterclass in melodic development and you have Our Men.

Who the f*#& is J?

J, born in Cornwall, started learning guitar at 9yrs old, formed own band playing and singing his own songs, moved to classical guitar at age of 19, picked up an electric again in his 30’s, has been working as a guitarist/teacher of all genre’s ever since.

His varied musical background has turned him into the unique talent he is today. A formidable guitarist using a mixture of classical, acoustic and electric guitar technique who draws on a range of styles from jazz to rock to classical.

His songs are an unique combination of wonderful musical compostion, political/world statements, clever lyrics, fantastic humour and incredible guitar work. A feast for the ears, mind and soul.

J never had any dreams of being a rock star, he only ever wanted to be a musician. Now, after years as a working guitarist and teacher, after years of listening to and playing music; he knew exactly what he loved about music. He knew exactly what he wanted from a piece of music. He knew exactly what a song needed to be awesome enough to satisfy his musical desires. The trouble was, they didn’t exist. So he decided to write them himself…..
