The oppression of Shame On You

This release is the ‘oppressed version’. Shame On You was intended for release in August 2023 in it’s original form. However I ran into many barriers. The original uncensored version contained snippets and speeches from Donald Trump and George W Bush. But everywhere I turned I was blocked from releasing it in this form.

Every distribution company said they wouldn’t release it citing copyright fears over the longer speeches. I was assured they were either public domain or CC0 but that didn’t matter to them.

So I took the speeches out and just left the small snippets of Donald Trump quotes – ‘I know words’ and ‘I have the best words’ which I got from a verfied CC0 source. They STILL turned it down.

I then took out the Trump snippets and recorded myself saying them. I put my voice through a voice mod to make it resemble Donald Trump. I was STILL turned down because apparantly ‘MY VOICE SOUNDED A BIT LIKE DONALD TRUMP!!!!!!!’

Eventually I admitted defeat and took out every voice/vocal sample in it and am releasing it purely as an instrumental. But I’m not happy. THIS IS OPPRESSION – THE SONG MOCKED TRUMP AND BUSH AND I’M NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT! FUCK THEM ALL!!
